Every book listed in the Norway National Library is to be digitised by 2025 and made available free of charge to Norwegians.
In terms of national archives, this is the first country to announce full digitisation of books. Copyright material shall become accessible to read online, and books outwith will be available to download
The collection with material dating from the Middle Ages up to the current day will become available, irrespective of copyright laws, to those accessing the archive from an IP address in Norway.
