Code of conduct set for facial recognition tech

Facial recognition technology is set to come under scrutiny from the US National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) at the organization’s next meeting, in February 2014.

NTIA aims to harmonize the needs of mobile software developers and business engaged in facial recognition tech though a first version of a voluntary national “privacy code of conduct” for mobile apps.
