The European Parliament’s Industry research and energy committee (ITRE) said in a report that, in order to get the most out of cloud computing, operator switching should be made easier and more information should be made available on possible risks of storage, processing and using of data on remotely located computers accessed via the internet.
The Parliament Committee called on the European Commission to bring some order to the so called jungle of standards across the EU that make compatibility within systems complicated. The report will be voted in the November 2013 plenary session.
