Sue us in California, says Google

Google’s legal team will not answer to a British court over privacy claims. They say the claim falls short of the standard needed to be heard at the high court in London and therefore must be heard in California – if anywhere.

The class action lawsuit relates to clandestine data privacy breaches by secretly bypassing security settings to track user behaviour on the iPhone, iPad and within the Safari web browser.

Hundreds of internet users have announced they will sue Google if the test case goes ahead in the UK.
