European Internet Users Want Higher Speed

According to the latest E-Communications Household Survey, internet speed is emerging as a top issue for internet users. Nearly half (45%) of European households would upgrade their Internet subscription or switch the supplier for a higher speed broadband.

The 2013 E-Communications Household Survey also found that over half (54%) of households limit their mobile phone calls due to concerns about costs. However, the numbers concerned about the costs of calls to networks other than their own dropped by 11% from 50% to 49%. The fieldwork for this special Eurobarometer survey was completed in March and over 27,000 households were interviewed.

The full report will be published in the coming weeks.
